Who trains you

No lecturer.
A practitioner.

Clemens Christen, GitOps and ArgoCD trainer at Cheveo

Clemens Christen trains ArgoCD and Kubernetes from real-world practice, deployed at SAP, Sopra Steria and 50Hertz.

For over a decade he has built scalable infrastructure for enterprise-grade software. Not theory, but systems that run under real load. He also writes the technical deep-dives on our blog: the same patterns and pitfalls from real production clusters that you implement hands-on in the workshop. What you learn here, he has debugged himself under load, including the mistakes you only make once.

What you take home

No slide deck theatre.
You build your stack.

01

ArgoCD App-of-Apps Pattern

Structured setup with ApplicationSets that won't become a burden in 6 months. Including multi-tenancy and RBAC setup.

02

Sealed Secrets & SOPS in Git

Secrets encrypted in the repo, without Vault infrastructure. Built live using your example, no artificial demos.

03

Sync Strategies & Drift Detection

When to auto-sync, when manual, when self-heal. Patterns from 25+ production clusters, including the traps we've seen at clients.

04

Rollout Strategies with Argo Rollouts

Canary and Blue/Green for real deployments. You leave the workshop with a working setup, not a tutorial link.

The GitOps workshop brought our DevOps team to a new level. Within two weeks after the workshop we had ArgoCD running in production.

Frequently asked

Before you book.

What prior knowledge do I need? +

Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services) and Git is enough. You only need a laptop with kubectl and a Git repository with write access. We provide the test cluster.

Do I need to bring my own cluster? +

No. Every participant gets a dedicated test cluster from us. You connect beforehand via kubectl with the credentials we send you. No setup required on your side.

Will I get an invoice? Can I pay by invoice? +

Yes. After booking you automatically receive a booking confirmation and a proper invoice by email. Companies can also pay by invoice instead of card on request. Just write to it@cheveo.de.

Can I cancel or reschedule? +

Up to 30 days before start: full refund. 15–30 days before: 50%. Less than 15 days before: no refund, but you can name a substitute participant free of charge or reschedule once to a later date. A substitute from your company is always free.

What happens if the workshop is cancelled? +

In case of too few registrations or for good cause (e.g. trainer illness) we may cancel or postpone. You then receive either a full refund or a free rebooking to a replacement date.

Online or on-site? +

Both, depending on the date, in Cologne (on-site, incl. catering) or online live. You can see the next available date at the top of the page.

Are the prices net? +

Yes, all prices are net plus statutory VAT. From 3 people there is a group discount; from 5 people an in-house workshop usually pays off.
