General Terms and Conditions

§1 Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between Cheveo GmbH and its customers. Deviating terms of the customer are not recognized unless Cheveo GmbH expressly agrees to their validity in writing.
§2 Scope of Services
The scope of services to be provided is defined in the respective service description or individual offer. Changes and additions require written form.
§3 Customer Cooperation
The customer provides all information, access, and resources required for service delivery in a timely manner. Delays due to lack of cooperation are not borne by Cheveo GmbH.
§4 Compensation and Payment Terms
Compensation is determined by the respective offer. Invoices are payable within 14 days of issuance without deduction. All prices are subject to statutory VAT.
§5 Confidentiality
Both parties undertake to treat confidential information of the other party strictly confidentially and to use it only for the purposes of cooperation.
§6 Liability
The liability of Cheveo GmbH is limited to intent and gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages and lost profits is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
§7 Term and Termination
The contract duration is defined in the respective offer. Managed services can be terminated with a notice period of 3 months to the end of the contract term. The right to extraordinary termination remains unaffected.
§8 Workshops and Training
8.1 Registration and Contract Formation
Registration for a workshop is made via the Cheveo GmbH website. The contract is formed upon completion of the payment process (Stripe Checkout) or upon written confirmation by Cheveo GmbH. After contract formation, the participant receives a booking confirmation and invoice by email.
8.2 Scope of Services
The scope of the respective workshop is defined in the workshop description on the website at the time of booking. The number of participants is limited to the maximum stated in the description. The scope of services includes the delivery of the workshop, the provided training materials, and the Q&A support period specified on the workshop page.
8.3 Prices and Payment Terms
All workshop prices stated on the website are in euros and subject to statutory VAT. Early bird prices apply until the deadline indicated on the respective workshop page. After the deadline, the regular price applies. Payment is made in full at the time of booking via the provided payment service provider (Stripe). Group discounts are granted as described on the respective workshop page and always refer to the individual price valid at the time of booking.
8.4 Cancellation by the Participant
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to it@cheveo.de. The following cancellation terms apply:
- More than 30 days before the workshop: Full refund of the amount paid.
- 15 to 30 days before the workshop: Refund of 50% of the amount paid.
- Less than 15 days before the workshop: No refund. A substitute participant may be named, or the seat may be transferred to a later date of the same workshop (once, subject to availability).
Naming a substitute participant from the same company is possible at any time free of charge.
8.5 Cancellation or Rescheduling by Cheveo GmbH
Cheveo GmbH reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop in case of insufficient registrations (fewer than 3) or for important reasons (e.g., trainer illness, force majeure). In such cases, registered participants will be notified promptly and may choose between a full refund or a free transfer to an alternative date. Further claims, in particular for reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs, are excluded.
8.6 In-House Workshops
In-house workshops are subject to the terms set out in the respective individual offer. Unless otherwise specified in the offer, the cancellation terms pursuant to §8.4 apply accordingly.
8.7 Copyright of Training Materials
All materials provided as part of the workshop (presentations, code repositories, cheatsheets, recordings) are protected by copyright and may only be used for the personal use of the participant and within their company. Distribution to third parties or public dissemination is not permitted without prior written consent from Cheveo GmbH.
§9 Final Provisions
German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Bonn. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
